I remember when I first started using email marketing. I was skeptical. I understood the general importance of building a list and staying in touch with your audience, but honestly, I didn’t really grasp just about how important and powerful it could be. I don’t know about you but “no soliciting” is all over my neighborhood. Poeple don’t appreciate that.

3. Website traffic-  When you deliver a direct link to your website so that your audience can learn more about a product or service, you eliminate friction and bring them directly to where they need to be. From their inbox to your website with one clikc, goodbye random searches and misspellings.

4. Reduce reliability in paid ads – if you have access to your buyers, those who know your brand and what you are all about, the need to spend money on paid ads decreases significantly. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather make money than spend it!

5. Better Audience Insight – emails allow you to gather valuable data related to your audience’s interest, and that’s where one of the most powerful email marketing tools is hidden, my favorite feature…

Yes, simple, straightforward polls embedded directly into my emails. You know we can’t resist a poll! We want to be heard, we want to share our opinions. Here are some creative ways I’ve used polls in my emails and got great responses:

  • Next Offer – I had my audience decide on what should my next offer be. The best part? I know they would be interested because it was their choice. “What should I create next?”
  • Customer Journey – We often have to guess where the reader is in their journey. Are they problem-aware? Solution-aware? Ready to buy? Now you don’t have to guess anymore. Just ask!
  • Content Ideas – Not sure what to post about? Let your readers guide you. I’ve created an entire quarter of content based on feedback from my audience.
  • Keep it fun – It doesn’t have to be all business all the time. Ask some fun personal questions and watch your engagement grow!

When I launched my Delegation Secrets Course, I was stuck between creating a quick-start guide or a comprehensive mini-course as my lead magnet. I polled my subscribers, and overwhelmingly, they voted for the guide. I followed their preference and saw one of my highest-converting lead magnet launches ever.
