With tree young kids at home (all under six), no local support system, and no childcare options, Andrea faced a tough decision. She had always envisioned staying home with her kids but also loved working. The idea of completely walking away from her career felt unsettling. So, she did what many entrepreneurial-minded people do—she started exploring ways to make money from home.

She dabbled in network marketing, hoping it would provide the connection and professional fulfillment she craved. But something felt off.

Andrea quickly noticed that the sales strategies being taught in the direct sales industry didn’t align with human psychology—or basic decency. She saw a pattern of tactics that pressured people into buying, disregarding their real needs. It didn’t sit right with her. With a degree in Brain Behavior and Cognitive Science, she knew that effective sales didn’t have to feel manipulative.

That realization sparked something in her: What if she could help people sell in a way that felt good?

Discovering the Power of Ethical Copywriting

While researching better ways to communicate and sell, Andrea stumbled upon copywriting—the art of persuasive writing designed to drive action. But this wasn’t just any writing; it was sales psychology in action. It clicked.

With her analytical mind and deep understanding of human behavior, Andrea dove into learning everything she could about copywriting. She took courses, studied the science behind persuasive messaging, and realized that effective sales copy wasn’t about pushing products—it was about understanding people.

Fast forward a few years, and Andrea is now a launch strategist and conversion copywriter, helping business owners craft messaging that connects, builds trust, and sells—without resorting to the aggressive sales tactics she once encountered.

The Sales Psychology Shift: Why Pushy Doesn’t Work

One of Andrea’s biggest missions is to debunk the myth that sales have to be aggressive to be effective.

“I’m not anti-MLM,” she explained. “But I am anti the way they teach sales.”

In many industries, especially direct sales, people are told that objections are just a ‘not right now’ and that persistence (or borderline harassment) will eventually get them a ‘yes.’ But Andrea knows better.

“Our brains are wired to resist pressure,” she said. “If someone is forcing you to buy something, your natural instinct is to back away.”

Instead of pressure, Andrea focuses on connection first, conversion second—a philosophy she formalized into her Connect & Convert Framework.

The Connect & Convert Framework: Selling Without Feeling Salesy

Andrea’s approach to copywriting is rooted in relationship-building. Her Connect & Convert Framework ensures that every piece of content does two things:

  1. Connects with the audience – This means understanding their struggles, validating their feelings, and showing empathy before ever introducing a solution.
  2. Converts through trust and transformation – Instead of making people feel bad about their problems, Andrea helps business owners position their offers as empowering solutions.

She’s also a firm believer in not weaponizing pain points. “It’s one thing to acknowledge your audience’s struggles. It’s another thing to manipulate them into buying out of fear,” she explained.

The 80/20 Rule of Selling

If you’ve ever wondered how much of your content should be nurturing vs. selling, Andrea’s got the answer: 80% value, 20% selling.

The majority of your messaging should build trust, educate, entertain, or inspire. That way, when it’s time to sell, people aren’t put off by the pitch—they’re actually excited about it.

And if you’re afraid of sounding too “salesy,” Andrea has a genius hack: Practice selling your free content first.

“If you feel uncomfortable selling, start with your freebies. Instead of saying, ‘Sign up for my newsletter,’ tell people why they need it. Show them how it solves a problem for them,” she explained. This helps shift the mindset from taking (asking for a sale) to giving (offering value).

Scaling Her Business While Raising Three Kids

Andrea’s story is proof that it’s possible to grow a successful business while raising a family. But it hasn’t been without its challenges.

With three young kids, she’s had to get creative with her time. “I had to let go of the expectation that I could sit at my desk for hours uninterrupted. That’s just not realistic,” she said.

Instead, she uses structured work bursts—short, focused blocks of time to knock out tasks. She also plans screen time strategically so she can tackle calls or deep work while her kids are entertained.

And most importantly? She’s given herself permission to do things differently—and encourages other entrepreneur moms to do the same.

The Future of the Creative Copy Club

Andrea now runs The Creative Copy Club, a membership where she teaches entrepreneurs how to write better copy without feeling overwhelmed. What started as a simple template library has evolved into a full-fledged coaching program, with workshops, live copy reviews, and an engaged community of business owners learning how to sell in a way that feels authentic.

As for the future, she’s setting her sights on growing her business agency-style, and hiring junior copywriters to expand her impact while maintaining the quality her clients love.

Final Thoughts: Success on Her Terms

So, how does Andrea define success?

For her, it’s not about chasing a certain revenue goal. It’s about building a business that aligns with her values and supports her lifestyle.

“I don’t want to feel like I have to choose between my work and my family. I want my business to integrate seamlessly into my life,” she said.

With her smart strategies and passion for ethical selling, there’s no doubt Andrea will continue to make waves in the online business world.
